Stop the noise infringement
On Saturday afternoon, 29th April 2006, the Story Bridge Hotel was issued with a notice of action issued by the Liquor Licensing division for a `Stop the Noise` infringement, this resulted in the hotel being silenced of all `patron noise, amplification of music and voice and non-amplified entertainment noise`. The `stop noise` forced the hotel to cancel most of its Long Weekend plans leaving some of our holiday weekend patrons a little disappointed.
Richard Deery has appeared as requested in a meeting of mediation on Tuesday 2nd May with the Liquor Licensing Division to rectify the situation. On Thursday 4th May the outcome was outlined to the hotel allowing all areas to continue operation with a few additional restrictions set out by Liquor Licensing Division. We have agreed to operate under these terms and are still working with the Liquor Licensing Division on this issue.
If you would like to comment or if you have any concerns with the Story Bridge Hotels ‘Noise Policy’ issue please follow the link to our feedback form and we will respond to your query via email, for immediate attention or a response please call our Operations Manager, Scott Matheson on 3391 2266 at the hotel.
We look forward to updating everyone on the results in the not too distant future. At this time we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support and understanding.
Kind Regards
