The Story Bridge Hotel annual Cockroach Races date all the way back to 1982, where the first roaches went head to head creating a cherished tradition!

Now the event of the year is known across Brisbane as the iconic cockroach races where people gather in good spirit and tradition to celebrate the community we are so lucky to call home. The year 2024 marks the 41st annual races, and every year the crowd only gets bigger, more excited and competitive to take out a mighty roach win!
