Aussie Boogaloo is a high-energy cover dance band, with a deep love for performing songs written by Australian and New Zealand artists. Aussie Boogaloo approach their primarily 80’s centric repertoire with an enthusiastic mix of sincerity and satire, although cover a swathe of your old Australian rock favourites anywhere from the 60’s till now.
Vocals are shared between Mark ‘Sparky’ Paltridge on acoustic guitar, (Toothfaeries, The Rumbrellas), and the now infamous Erin Sulman, (drummer with The Houseprouds, Lothlorien & The Barleyshakes) and Jay Ray (The Rumbrellas) completing the line up on bass.

Pepper Jane and her guitar, Maureen, (and sometimes an old lady Gibson) write a smattering of tunes from lofty, folky croonings through to belted lashings of barely-refined aural cacao-cotton candy.
Raised free-range on the Darling Downs, Pepper was singing from a young age: in churches, musicals, showers, on pushbikes and a tree stump at the bus stop. Around age 14, a new woody, wiry misdemeanour began, learning some guitar chords and penning a few tales of woe and misdirection.
Many years later after uni and a couple of ‘real’ jobs, while attending her first Woodford Folk Festival (2013-2014), she realised she had to leave workaholism behind and chase the dream. Nay, to live it.
Pepper has opened shows for Renée Geyer, Jon Stevens, John Paul Young, Pseudo Echo, Deni Hines and Neil Murray. Festivals include Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Fest (Sunshine Coast Hinterland), Cully Fest (Cunnamulla, Toowoomba), Streets and Lanes (Toowoomba), Mount Isa Rodeo and Pepper played with her band at Woodford Folk Festival’s Build Launch Party last year.
